Happy Feet

Good movie if you ignore the messages that penguins are better than people, and that organized religion is bad. Not quite as good as I had hoped from the previews, but still lots of fun. If I had to pay 6.50 to see it, I would.

Lady In The Water

Better than expected, and a lot better than the reviewers say it is. I can't understand why they didn't like it. Not Shiamalan's best, but not his worst. Actually, it's just plain different.
It is based on a bedtime story that he would tell to his children. As the story grew, he decided to turn it into a movie.
So yeah, it's a bedtime story, but with scary moments.
A story about a nymph who surfaces to our world. For a purpose...
Dripping with morals, this movie is an excellent way to spend your time.

Pirates of the Caribbean, Dead Man's Chest

A great follow-up to the first "Pirates" movie, Dead Man's Chest is full of all the same rolicking fun.
The bad guys, Davy Jones and his undersea crew are not quite as awesome as the cursed pirates from 1, but are basically a bunch of bad guys in rubber costumes.
Captain Jack makes another excellent entrance, and severall new characters are introduced.
The last five seconds of the film are the most unexpected, bewildering, and horrible; when the screen cut to black, and credits rolled, I thought something like, "No! How? What? Holy... What just happened?" (Don't let anyone tell you the end before you see it)
Keira Knightly is a better actress now, but her character is more of a jerk than ever. Jack Sparrow, fortunatley, was not overplayed, and is still the highlight if the film.
Overall, this movie is very good; almost as good as the first one, and in some spots even better.

The Greatest Game ever Played

Golf.
This story takes place in America, during the U.S. vs. British Open. It is a true story, about a boy who loves golf, and challenges the top world professionals, in exchange for nothing; no winning payments, no family honor...nothing but a name among the best in sports. But he persues his dream.
It is also a true story about one of the pros. When he was a boy, he was told the golf course was no place for him. Now he intends to prove that statement wrong.
Watch as two men compete in one of the most gripping movies I have seen in a long time.
This movie has a way of being more intense than an action film! Filled with typical bright Disney colors, and interesting cinematogrophy. The characters are all fantastic, and frequently hilarious. (Especially the short, fat kid who playes the caddy.)
A film for all ages, entertaining to young, teen, and old alike.
